September 15-16: Small Plates & Leftovers

On Thursdays I leave campus early to come home and do more work. I like being home to take care of grading and I like being home so I have more time to do things like roast potatoes. Tonight for dinner we had oven fries with tahini sauce, spiced nuts and pickled spinach. There was also a pan of cheesy beans to dip chips into. Then I also made the lad meatballs with sauce and a whole big vat of green beans. Small plate heaven.

Tomorrow night we'll be eating all the leftovers from the week. I know some people like going out on Fridays, but it's really one of my favorite nights to eat what's there and watch what's on. It doesn't mean that we don't go out occasionally, but staying in is my preference.
