August 15: Fake Jambalaya and Tomato Tart

I got home from work today and knew I needed to run, so I did that. As I ran, I thought about the andouille sausage in the freezer that I could quickly defrost. I thought about making a quick jambalaya. I called it a fake jamabalaya if I'm really being honest because I didn't follow a recipe and I kept thinking that I was actually making gumbo, but then I would convince myself it was jamablaya. Well, whatever it was with its rice, pepper, celery, onion, garlic, red beans and sausage it was good. 

Then I remembered the frozen pastry crust and the tomatoes we had and determined a tomato tart was in order. The tomatoes were given to us by a friend and then I haven't a clue when I made that pastry, but I had to restrain myself from eating the whole thing.
