May 25: Sausage & Mash

 It's the end of May in North Carolina and I am wearing jeans because it is gray and cold. For dinner I made sausage in a tomatoey-winey sauce (A pot of chicken ones and a pot of vegan ones) and we're going to put it on top of mashed potatoes because it's so damn cold. And maybe it's not really so damn cold, but last weekend it was in the 90s and we were dying and this weekend I'm making hot tea-HOT TEA- in the middle of the day. Which is totally fine if I lived in Scotland or Vermont, but only a few days ago I was psychologically preparing myself for the days when I sweat standing still and now.... we're back to hot tea days.
