May 22: White Bean Pasta Primavera + Mock French 75s
Nuala and I spent the afternoon at the local minor league baseball game. It's amazing how hungry you get by sitting around all afternoon watching grown men play a game in the heat of the day. I liked this recipe for white bean primavera a lot, but I thought it needed pasta and maybe not so much dijon mustard. And not to totally sound like one of the commentors on the NY Times recipes, but I barely had any of the same veggies. I think I had carrots. Maybe it was more inspiration than anything else.
To wash it down I used the sweet-bay peppercorn shrub I made the other day to whip up some non-alcoholic French75s. Honestly, this could be my summer drink.
