May 18: Crispy Spiced Chickpeas & Couscous + Sourdough Loaves
When I asked my daughter what she wanted for dinner tonight she said something like, "something cultural." Which, roughly translated, means something with flavor. I had all these bits and bobs in the fridge and found this crispy chickpea recipe that seemed perfect. I'll serve it over couscous with a side of broccoli (because you can never have too much broccoli).
On a side note, the sourdough starter is up and kicking. Like it's a gorgeous little bubbly can of magic. After one false start that resulted in a tossed load of bread, we have now had one classic sourdough and porridge loaf. Soon, I'll be making a fig & fennel. I am in bread heaven.
