April 29: Tomato, Goat Cheese & Olive Galettes and....Chicken Tendies from Freemans
I made Galettes with tomatoes that had been sitting on the counter wanting to die for the past few days and with goat cheese that was pushing the edge of its lifespan. The olives came from the seemingly never ending jar in the fridge. I ate one before the softball game. so did Watts. Then after the game we wound up having a date night so we walked to Freemans, ordered the cheapest cocktails in Greensboro along with an order of chicken tenders to split. They have the best chicken tenders in town. They are coated in cornflakes and cooked perfectly. Delicate not heavy. The best part of the night? The baby at the table next to us "talked" to us the whole time she was there. She started by staring at Watts and then she just turned her whole body to be a part of our conversation. The parents apologized but we were like, no apologies necessary. Babies are the best.
