St. Patrick's Day: March 17----Shepherd's Pie

 I used to make corned beef and cabbage. I would put it in the crockpot before work and then be the only to eat it at the end of the day. Eventually, I started making other things with Irish connections. Mainly involving sausage and potatoes. Tonight I'll make a vegetarian shepherd's pie based on this recipe by Alton Brown but tweaked a lot because I obviously use impossible meat and veggie broth and no one in my house likes peas or corn. 

We'll also have a green ice cream pie and Guinness, of course.
