March 9: Potato and White Bean Puttanesca Soup

 The rain that started to fall during last night's game kept falling all night. Sometime mid-morning it stopped, but the gray chill had descended. It was one of those days where it was going to be colder inside than out, but not by much. Soup was required. I hemmed and hawed about what soup I would make, but ultimately settled on this Potato and White Bean Puttanesca Soup because I had open jars of capers and olives, some chopped up parsley and little red potatoes that were begging to be used. They said it would be better after sitting a while. All afternoon I walked into the kitchen taking tiny sips. They were right.
