February 8th: Cille and Scoe
For the first time in forever, we were childless for the evening. So that meant we were making it a date night. We decided to try one of the newer restaurants in town 'Cille & 'Scoe. They seem to focus on southern food and everything tasted delicious. However, everything was also much too rich--- for me anyway. We had shrimp and grits which also had sausage and a white gravy, popcorn cauliflower that was drowned in truffle oil and short ribs with potato au gratin. That was probably my favorite. Would I recommend it? Sure. Will I go back and become a regular? No. However, Watts and I will go back and sit at the bar, order a cocktail and one appetizer between us.
