January 6th: Mixed Vegetable Curry and Fig, Hazelnut and Chocolate Cake

I realized we ate two dinners in a row with the word "mixed" in the name. I promise the fact that they were mixed didn't diminish the flavor or quality or worthiness of the meals at all.

Last night I opened Chetna's book again and whipped up her mixed curry recipe. Veggies in question? Cauliflower, Green Beans and Carrots. Along with it I made some naan. Her naan is honestly becoming a family favorite. It's so easy and it makes the perfect amount.

Since I'm now teaching at home I don't have my thirty minute each way commute so I was able to bust out another new cookbook: Lazy Baking. When the world settles down, I will visit Elliot's in Edinburgh to see these bakes in their original home, but for now I think this book is kind of magical.

I made this Fig, Hazelnut and Chocolate cake that was kind of outrageous. An Christmassy cake for Twelfth Night.
