What we're Eating: 11/9-11/15

 Monday: Lasagna

I made a lasagna to bring to a friend whose dad just died. If you're making one lasagna, you should always make another. Always.

Tuesday: Steak Frites

We have two steaks leftover from Pho last Sunday. So they'll get their day to shine and I'll make homemade fries. I'm still debating if they'll be traditional or curry.

Wednesday: Indian Butter Chickpeas and Indian Butter Chicken

On Wednesdays, my college age nephew pops by. He loves to eat. A lot. This week we also have Miles. All that to say sometimes we need a lot of food on Wednesdays.

Thursday: Pasta Miscellaneous.... although I've been keen to make this One Pot Pasta with Ricotta and Lemon

Usually we see Grandma on Wednesday too, but a bout of vertigo has meant she can't drive. So in all likelihood we'll go see her. We might eat something there or we might cook when we get home.

Friday: Crispy Cheesy Pan Pizza.

I've been thinking about this since the last time I made it way back in April. I'm not a pan pizza kind of girl either, but this crust had me swooning.

Saturday: Crepes that will probably never be made.

I'm basing this decision totally on the fact that I have veggie breakfast sausage in the freezer that I want to get out of the freezer. Thinking about crepes for dinner though doesn't make me happy so it will probably turn into skillet enchiladas. In fat, I am almost positive this will happen. But I will write down crepes too in case I make them for breakfast that morning or the next which probably won't happen because I will be going out early for long runs. But maybe I'll make them for lunch? Who am I trying to convince.

Sunday: Noshies

Don't know what nosies are who even are you? Small plates. Tapas. Not your average meat, cheese and veg board. What goes on it is based on whatever impulse groceries I bought during the week.

NOTES FROM THE WEEK:

Like I thought.... I didn't make the crepes. I did make the skillet enchilada which was fine. I also made this Korean Corn Cheese on Sunday night which was fine too. The biggest hit of the week goes to the Indian butter chicken and chickpeas. The biggest loser of the week was the one pot pasta. One parent and one child loved it. One parent and one child did not.
